We started as Creations by Chris and Carlos — a small, handmade labor of love built on creativity, connection, and the belief that the things we cherish most deserve to be celebrated. What began as a passion project grew into something bigger than we imagined, and Old Soul Apparel & Home was born.

The name changed. The heart didn't.

Who We Are

We're based in Jersey City, NJ, and we design for the people who feel things deeply — the ones who rewatch their favorite shows, who know every lyric, who still get a little emotional walking past a diner that looks like it's straight out of the '80s. We call them old souls. We are them.

Old Soul Apparel & Home is a design-forward brand rooted in nostalgia, pop culture, and the beauty of everyday life. Our pieces are inspired by the TV shows, movies, Broadway productions, food brands, and cultural moments that shaped us — reimagined through a lens that's fresh, intentional, and made to last.

Chris and Carlos

When we started

In 2007, Carlos and I set out on an entrepreneurial journey, guided by our shared passion for creativity and a commitment to building something truly meaningful. We dreamed of bringing people together, making connections that resonated on a heartfelt level, and inspiring others through our work. What started as an idea quickly grew into something much larger—a venture that represented our vision for innovation, community, and purpose. Our partnership was rooted in mutual respect and love, with each of us bringing our unique perspectives and strengths to make our dream a reality.

In 2019, our world changed forever when Carlos passed away suddenly. The loss was profound and unexpected, and words fall short of conveying the love, respect, and admiration I held for him. Carlos was my partner in every sense—my confidant, my friend, and a constant source of inspiration. Together, we shared a life filled with adventure, laughter, and unwavering support, both in our personal lives and in our shared dream.

His memory lives on in the hearts of our family, including our children, CJ and Julie, our beloved grandchildren, and countless friends and colleagues whose lives he touched. His kindness, passion, and vision continue to inspire me every day, reminding me of the legacy we built together and the love that endures. Carlos will forever be missed, but his spirit lives on in everything we created, and in the lives of everyone who knew and loved him.
